Sal Khan

It started as a nice gesture - personal tutorials to help his cousin Nadia with math. However, with his MBA from Harvard and three degrees from MIT, Sal Khan’s homemade online tutorials grew so popular that he quit his job as a hedge fund analyst and now devotes all of his time to preparing content and managing the Khan Academy. His playlist of 1,630 tutorial videos on math, science, and finance are seen an average of 70,000 times a day. In any given month, his Web site attracts over 200,000 students of all ages and is now part of a program to reach students in remote areas of Asia and Africa. The Khan Academy holds the promise of being the first free, world-class virtual school where anyone can learn anything.
