Dr. David Agus

Dr. David Agus is one of the world’s leading cancer doctors, researchers, medical futurists, and technology innovators. He also heads USC’s Westside Cancer Center and the Center for Applied Molecular Medicine. A staunch advocate for personalized medicine, he chairs the Global Agenda Council on Genetics for the World Economic Forum, and is co-founder of Applied Proteomics and Navigenics, two health-care technology and wellness companies.

Dr. Agus is the New York Times bestselling author of The End of Illness. His honors and awards include the American Cancer Society Physician Research Award, a Clinical Scholar Award from the Sloan-Kettering Institute, and the 2009 Geoffrey Beene Foundation’s Rock Stars of Science Award. Dr. Angus graduated cum laude in molecular biology from Princeton University and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed his oncology fellowship training at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He spent two years at the National Institutes of Health as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute-NIH Research Scholar.
