SPEECH TOPIC: THE FINANCIAL BOUTIQUE: FINANCIAL LITERACY THROUGH FASHION
Despite a narrowing of gender differences in education, income, and wealth, the measures of long-term financial security and financial literacy in women are at a lower level than those of men. Jennifer Roosth believes that the key to closing this knowledge gap, reducing anxiety and bringing women up the learning curve is through fashion. Jennifer makes thinking about, talking about, and learning about money radically simple by comparing investing to something we all know well…fashion, shopping, and wardrobe management.
This fun, yet informative presentation will empower you about your money and innate ability to make good financial decisions. Jennifer brings Carrie Bradshaw’s credo, “I like my money where I can see it…hanging in my closet” to live in a way that would make Warren Buffet proud.
